How Repairs Work

1. Contact Us

Contact our Maniacs Hobby customer service department and we’ll set you up with one of our expert rc repair technicians. Don’t worry if you’re not sure exactly what type of maintenance your rc item requires, we will help you figure out what needs to be done.

2. Evaluation & quote

When you bring your RC vehicle into Maniacs Hobby, an experienced technician will evaluate the type of service required and provide you with an initial quote for parts and labor. If any additional services outside of the original quote is necessary, we will call you first to get authorization.

3. Pick up

Upon completion of your rc repair, a staff member will notify you that it’s ready for pick up. All repairs are done in-house and service guaranteed. Payment is due in full at pick-up and we ask that all completed rc repairs get collected within 7 days to avoid storage fees.

Q: What kinds of repairs do you do?

A: We can repair basically anything that’s fixable, install any upgrades, or custom build whatever it is you’re looking for. From Turbine jets to RC cars and everything in-between. Please note, some manufacturers require certain repairs be done directly with them to preserve warranty. Give us a call to see if your RC repair qualifies.

Q: Do I need to make an appointment?

A: No. We can take appointments if you need to make one but they’re not necessary. There’s always staff available in the RC repairs department.

Q: How long do repairs take?

A: That depends! If replacement parts are in stock and it’s a simple fix, a lot of times we can get your RC repair done in the same day. The best way to find out how long your RC repair will take is to bring it in for an evaluation. Our RC repair experts can take a look and give you an idea of the scope of work needed.

Q: Can I trust your RC repair staff? How experienced are they?

A: We only staff people who are highly knowledgeable and experienced in RC hobby. All of our technicians have been working with radio controlled hobbies for long enough to feel confident that they truly understand the ins and outs of these machines. We are also always expanding our knowledge with training sessions directly from some the top brands as new technology becomes available. You can feel safe knowing that your RC repair is in good hands with us.

A: YES. Our repair techs are also avid RC hobbists. If you’re looking for tips, pointers, or a bit of know-how, you can also book a lesson to get your skills up to par before taking to the track or sky.
